Research project with SIEMENS yields significant results
4 shaft ends successfully delivered by Saarschmiede
The Obervermunt plant II is a high pressure pumped-storage hydro-power plant under construction by Vorarlberger Illwerke on Lake Vermunt in the Austrian state of Vorarlberg.
Saarschmiede supplied 4 forged and pre-machined shaft ends with a diameter of 3 m each and a weight of around 39 t.
The first video provides impressions of the production of the units and the state of progress of the power plant.
The second video provides a report about the complete 4th construction year, which shows various intermediate stages of the construction as well as the manufacture of the components delivered by Saarschmiede for the power plant.
